I recently heard on the local news that they had restored some of the ruins of the old Drayton Lodge so I popped over to see this on my way home the other day. There are some excellent information boards about Sir John Fastolf who built it in 1437 (yes the famous knight that the Shakespearian character of Falstaff was based on) and of course the restored old ruin. The below article provides some pictures and further information on the lodge and how it fell into the hands of the Paston family and became used by warreners and shepherds.
