I wasn’t aware that there was a Norwich Hippodrome on St Giles Street. It was located where the multi-storey car park is now. So when was it built and who was the architect? It was erected as an opera house and playhouse with a seating capacity of 1,836. Who appeared there? What happened to it in 1942? And when was it closed?
